About this training:

Over the course of this one day workshop, Sandip and Lisa will draw on their extensive experience of working therapeutically with bereaved individuals and families to provide a one-day intensive training that will include:


  • Types of loss
  • The impact of loss and factors impacting grief
  • Grief theories
  • Different types of grief
  • Case Studies
  • Cultural differences in approaches to death and grief
  • Creative interventions – participants will have an opportunity to engage in creative exercises
  • Resources and signposting

 

 Fees:

  • £110 - SPTI Members
  • £125 - Non-Members


Please note: The day is catered to those working therapeutically with clients over 18. This training is suitable for qualified therapists and those who have completed level 5+ training.


About the facilitators:

Sandip Binning is the CEO of The Laura Centre in Leicester and has 15 years’ experience of working in the family bereavement services sector. Sandip holds a BSc Psychology, Certificate in Person centered counselling & MA Counselling Children and Young People.


Lisa Patel has a BSc Human Psychology, MSc Counselling Psychology, MSc Psychodynamics of Human Development and has worked at The Laura Centre with bereaved families for 12 years. She is the Director of Therapeutic Services.
