About this training:

What is the TA101 Course? This training course is recognised by the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) and the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) as their standard approved introduction to TA. TA is a theory of human development, personality, and communication. It has concepts that can be learned and applied as tools for personal and professional growth and change. It is a wonderful course for the participant to get to know the major concepts of Transactional Analysis and is packed full of useful ideas that can be applied in a wide range of personal and professional settings.

 

Course Experience: 

This fascinating and fun filled course is both accessible and practical in its application to our everyday lives whilst having theoretical depth for those who wish to continue onto further study. During the training you will be invited to reflect upon yourself and others, to integrate the learning by bringing real examples from your own life and identify alternative options for behaviour and communication. It is an excellent introduction to the subject for those who wish to take their first steps towards advanced training and becoming a Certified Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist. Completion of the course affords you the TA 101 certificate.

 

Who is this training for:

The 'TA 101' is for anyone interested in Transactional Analysis.  The course will be particularly useful to you if you work in the helping professions, such as counselling, nursing, or social work or those in organisations, working in management or teams, communications or teaching. It will also be helpful to you if you are interested in understanding more fully yourself, your thoughts, feelings and behaviour and your relationships with others. This learning can help in living a better life and relate with others more satisfyingly.

 

Eligibility: Anyone can apply to join this course. No previous qualifications are necessary.

Deborah Blagden (PTSTA)

Deborah is a UKCP registered Clinical Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer. She holds a MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and is a Certified Transactional Analyst, undertaking her Masters at the Metanoia Institute London in the mid 1990’s.She is endorsed by the European Association of Transactional Analysts as a (Provisional) Training and Supervising Transactional Analysis (PTSTA) and is passionate about training and supervising others wanting to develop their interest in this area at whatever level. Deborah has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, including the NHS and for 26 years in a Forensic setting facilitating therapeutic groups. She also manages a private psychotherapy practice in Derbyshire, working with individuals, couples, and groups.


Julia Tolley (TSTA)

Julia Tolley, is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Supervisor. She has a Master’s Degree – MA in Integrative Counselling from Leeds Beckett University, TSTA (P), Teaching Supervising Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy) and CTA(P), Certified Transactional Analyst validated by EATA – the European Association for Transactional Analysts. She teaches and supervises across the field of TA in the UK and abroad and is also a BACP (Accred) Psychotherapist and Supervisor. Julia lives and works in the West Midlands where she has a diverse private practice of Clients and Supervisees. Her roles include being support Tutor/Supervisor for various Universities and Training Institutes, Julia also supports students through the process of Diplomas, BSc and MSc, CTA and TSTA Psychotherapy exams. Julia has a background in Human Resources, particularly in the development of people and organisations. Her special interest in Psychotherapy is in the field of neuroscience, applying original developmental theory of ‘the self’ to emerging neuroscience material. As a member of the UKATA and EATA she has developed, along with a colleague, the Written Exam Evaluator Training material which she delivers to Evaluators of the EATA Exams in Psychotherapy across Europe. Julia supports local education facilities in Supervision of Safeguarding as well as offering Supervision to those working with children in residential and charitable settings. She likes the outdoors and being creative.
