About the group:
This group will offer a regular space for qualified psychotherapists to come together for contact, exploration, and learning involving experiential exercises and reflection.
‘...there is a true and timeless Self, an Essential Self, a Self that is not constructed in early life…’ A.H. Almaas
‘The spirit of this time is ungodly, the spirit of the depths is ungodly, balance is godly’ C.G. Jung
I view psychotherapy as a sacred art of care for the human condition and the challenges with which we live.
There exist socio-cultural forces, such as:
While each has its place, they can give rise to injunctions that enter the therapy room and separate us from the depth of the intrapsychic, relational, transgenerational, and spiritual dimensions of the therapeutic encounter.
The focus of this series of meetings will be psychotherapy and the soul - the care of the soul, both individually and collectively – inviting us to engage with our deepest selves for our own realisation, and to help our clients more fully towards healing and personal growth through the exploration of their personal, transgenerational, and transpersonal experiences. This includes attending to trauma wounds in need of compassionate care and to essential personal qualities awaiting realisation.
There will be a balance of theoretical input with experiential learning to explore what supports and sustains us in the holding of soul in our lives and our practice of a depth, relational psychotherapy.
In the meetings, there will be exercises for personal inquiry into one’s essential self, heart’s desires, and the challenges we face as people and practitioners.
The transgenerational dimension and our ancestors will be included, with exploration of pathways for honouring, disentanglement, and self-realisation.
